Vacancy Detail
Junior Projectc Manager
About you
You have already built some experience in the office fit out sector and you are ready for the next step in your career. Maybe you have been working as a Site Manager and want to move into project management, or perhaps you are a Graduate Project Manager with a couple of years of industry experience who is looking for more responsibility.
You enjoy being organised, like taking ownership and are comfortable speaking with clients. You are looking for a business that will trust you, support your development and give you the chance to manage your own projects rather than spending years waiting for an opportunity.
This role is based in South Manchester, so you will need to be able to commute to the office each day.
Your experience
You will already have experience within the office fit out or commercial interiors sector and understand how projects are delivered from start to finish.
You will have a good understanding of site operations and be confident dealing with the commercial side of projects. Experience placing orders, raising purchase orders and managing project costs will put you in a strong position.
You will also be comfortable building relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers while keeping projects moving in the right direction.
What you will be doing with your experience
You will be managing two or three office fit out projects at any one time, with projects typically located across the North West, Yorkshire and the North East.
You will take ownership of programmes, coordinate subcontractors, communicate with clients and make sure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the expected quality.
You will also look after the commercial administration on your projects, including placing orders, raising purchase orders and helping to keep costs under control.
This is a role where you will continue to learn while taking on genuine responsibility from day one.
About the business
This is a well established design and build office fit out contractor that delivers high quality commercial workplace projects valued between £50,000 and £2 million.
The business has built a strong reputation for delivering quality projects and offers a supportive environment where people are given the opportunity to develop their careers.
